WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE 2009 SUNSHINE COAST HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
DIVISION ONE MEN AND WOMEN PREMIERS.
As the Sunshine Coast’s leading field hockey club we are proud to provide an environment where athletes and their families can enjoy the sport they love. With a successful junior program – including 2009 J1 girls premiers – we are aiming to maintain our club’s strong position within the region.
In 2009 players from our club represented the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and Australia. From juniors to seniors and veterans, we continue to be home to some of the region’s most talented players.
We would also like to thank our long-term partners who have supported us throughout the years, including Diggerman, Manawee and Readymix.
The support of our corporate partners is critical to the strength of our club. We ask all members and their friends and families to support these partners when they can. Please visit the Sponsor page for more information.
In 2010 we are looking to defend our Division One Men and Women, Division Two Women and J1 Girls premiership titles. The “rebelution” has begun.
Buderim Rebels hold the record for the most consecutive SCHA premiership titles in juniors and seniors. Our Under 13 boys team won an unprecedented nine consecutive premiership titles between 1999 and 2007. While our Division One women won five consecutive premiership titles between 2000 and 2004; also making the final in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Our Division One women are also defending champions after winning the 2009 premiership title. As for those Under 13 boys, many have gone on to play Division One for Rebels (including current team members Tim Ward and Philip Helfersdorfer) and some have gone on to represent Queensland and Australia. Strong juniors today builds a strong club tomorrow.
